A 20-year-old Welshman appeared before the Dublin District Court yesterday charged with importing an estimated £150,000 worth of cannabis.

Mr Paul James Juliff, of Mid Glamorgan, was arrested at Dublin Airport on Monday while getting off a flight from Spain.

Sgt Kieran Holihan of Santry told the court Mr Juliff replied: "I won't be doing it again in a hurry", after being charged.

Sgt Holihan objected to bail, on the grounds that he might abscond. Mr Juliff was remanded in custody to December 23rd.
