Canadian jailed for infecting women with HIV
A Canadian man has been jailed for 10 years for infecting two women and a baby with HIV.
Edgard Monge (37), of Kitchener, Ontario had unprotected sex with four women when he knew he was HIV positive.
He said he didn't have time to tell the women he had HIV.
Justice Steve Glithero said he had to impose a sentence that would deter others from similar actions.
"He knowingly and repeatedly risked the very lives of four women and a child by his callous actions," he said.
