A brother of a Limerick man charged over a shooting last week will use part of his Dell redundancy package to secure bail for his sibling, a court heard yesterday.

Anthony Kelly, O’Malley Park, Limerick, was arrested last week after a shooting in which Michael Lynch, also O’Malley Park, was injured.

Mr Kelly is charged with possessing a gun with intent to endanger life at O’Malley Park on October 28th. Gardaí objected to bail yesterday at Limerick District Court. John Devane, for the accused, said Stephen Kelly would go as independent surety. Judge O’Donnell granted bail on Mr Kelly’s bond of €1,000 and an independent €10,000 surety, subject to Garda approval.
