Britain's Princess Anne is to arrive in Ireland this evening for a two-day visit.

Britain's Princess Anne is to arrive in Ireland this evening for a two-day visit.

She is due to arrive at Casement Aerodrome, Baldonnel at around 5.45 p.m. this evening.

She will be the guest of honour at the Irish Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children's annual charity ball in the Berkeley Court Hotel.

She travels to Limerick tomorrow, where she will visit the University of Limerick to view its collection of rare books and manuscripts.

Princess Anne will then travel to Bray, Co Wicklow, to visit the Festina Lente Foundation, which provides equestrian and horticultural training.

She later goes to Leopardstown Park Hospital where she will meet resident veterans and attend a reception to meet Royal British Legion veterans.
