Shares in Bank of Ireland have rebounded in morning trading on the Dublin stock exchange after being battered on news of its interest in Abbey National.
At 11.47 a.m., shares in the bank were up 32 cent to €9.00, a gain of just under 5.4 per cent.
The news for AIB was not as good as it slipped 30 cents to €11.65. Shares in Irish Life and Permanent have climbed 30 cent to €10.70. Anglo Irish Bank remains unchanged at €5.75. FBD is down 25 cent €5.60.
CRH is also climbing this morning - up 5 cents to €11.35, and Jurys, Ryanair and Elan added to the upside.
