Two roadside bombs exploded in a crowd of part time labourers in central Baghdad today, killing at least two people and wounding 17, police said.
Police sources said the death toll from the bombs, which struck the packed crowd in northeastern Baghdad's Palestine Street, was likely to rise.
Despite violence being at its lowest ebb since the 2003 US-led invasion, militants have shown themselves repeatedly capable of carrying out coordinated, lethal attacks.
