At least 47 people were killed when a bus crashed off the highway near the Ecuadorean capital of Quito yesterday.
The victims, including 17 children, were members of the same extended family who had rented a bus for a trip.
Five children survived the crash and were hospitalised.
The driver apparently lost control of the bus and crashed into a wall on the side of the road.
