The accused man who walked free from a murder trial yesterday has had a warrant for his arrest issued after he failed to attend a separate hearing today.

Judge Tom O'Donnell issued the bench warrant after Mr Liam Keane (19), of Ballysimon, Co Limerick, failed to show up at Limerick District Court to answer charges of public order offences.

The charges relate to two alleged incidents at the Parkway shopping centre in Limerick on October 19th last.

The court heard Mr Keane was still in Dublin, where yesterday the DPP withdrew its prosecution after a sixth witness retracted his evidence.
