Donegal manager Brian McEniff and his Armagh counterpart Joe Kernan are expected to name their teams for Sunday's All-Ireland football semi-final after training tonight.

For the first time in this championship campaign, Kernan has the luxury of picking from a full panel.

Injuries have deprived the All-Ireland champions of the services of Ronan Clarke, Oisin McConville and Kieran McGeeney at various stages of the season but Kernan has no such problems ahead of the meeting with Donegal.

McEniff, however, must contend without the injured James Ruane and Noel McGinley's suspension arising from a club match is unlikely to be overturned.

Nevertheless, fears that Barry Monaghan would be ruled out through a knee injury have appeased and it appears likely the centre-half back will line out at Croke Park.

The winners of Sunday's semi-final will face Tyrone next month in an historic all Ulster clash, the first time two counties from the same province will contest an All-Ireland football final. Leinster's Offaly met neighbours Kilkenny in the 1998 hurling final, two years after the back-door system was introduced.
