2 men injured in gun attacks

A man was shot and seriously injured in a gun attack in north Belfast last night.

A man was shot and seriously injured in a gun attack in north Belfast last night.

Police said he was shot in the Ballysillan Avenue area.

The victim was in a "serious but stable" condition in hospital with what was believed to be a leg wound, an RUC spokesman said.

In a separate incident a man in his 20s was shot in the Forthriver Drive area of north Belfast. He was taken to hospital after being found in an entry at Cairndale Flats with a gunshot would to the leg, said the spokesman. His condition was not believed to be serious.
