More than 150 Spanish workers are being flown from Madrid to Shannon this weekend to meet the growing shortage of staff in local industries.
One of the company representatives said despite the fact 6,800 people are registered as unemployed in the Limerick city area, local firms are unable to fill vacant jobs.
