Riyadh - Police in the Saudi capital have flogged 13 more young nationals for harassing girls in shopping areas and outside schools.

The men were arrested by special squads and each was given 15 lashes after receiving a warning. Riyadh police have flogged more than 170 men, including 24 expatriates, over the past six months for the same reason. Saudi Arabia imposes a strict segregation of the sexes. Women are not allowed to eat alone in a restaurant or travel without the authorisation of a husband or father.
