The UN is warning over 100,000 Afghan children are likely to die this winter.
Unicef spokesman Mr Eric Laroche says diarrhoea and pneumonia will kill them.
He says they need shoes, clothes and food if they're to survive as temperatures plunge.
He told Pakistan paper The News: "These children need footwear, warm clothing, nutritional food and medicines to survive as the temperature is likely to drop below freezing point in a week or so.

"With a shortage of everything the situation looks very depressing."
He says war, drought and poverty have traumatised Afghan children, making them prone to sickness.
