Wicklow walkAn Óige Hillwalkers Club is organising a 13km hike in Wicklow on November 27th to include Luggala and Knocknacloghoge. Walkers should be properly equipped and bring lunch. Mick FowlerMountaineering Ireland and Berghaus present the lecture Mick Fowler – the mountaineers' mountaineerat Tollymore National Outdoor Centre (December 1st), the Great Outdoors, Dublin (December 2nd) and Kerry Outdoor Sports, Killarney (December 3rd). Fowler and Paul Ramsden won the Piolet D'Or (golden ice axe) eight years ago for a first ascent of a mountain in China called Siguniang by its north face. Tickets €10. End of year walksConnemara Wild at Heart Winter Festival takes place from December 28th-30th. On December 28th there will be an introductory talk hosted by Michael Gibbons followed by guided walks on Errisbeg and Omey Island over the following days.
