M&S, which currently carries more than 500 food products sourced in Ireland (15 per cent of all products in its food halls), and plans to double that, recently introduced Maris Peer potatoes, grown in Gormanstown, Co Meath. The Maris Peer is an excellent salad potato, which holds its shape and peels easily when cooked. It's on special offer for a limited period at €2.99 for a 1kg bag.
