An Edwardian house in Greystones and an expensively refurbished four-bed in Foxrock are among the houses on view this weekend

PRICED at €1.8 million, Burnaby Lodge on St Vincent Road, Greystones, is one of the oldest houses in the neighbourhood, according to Gordon Lennox of selling agents Lennox Estates. The Edwardian five-bedroom detached house is built on a grand scale with 325sq m (3,500sq ft) of living space, including two lofty reception rooms leading out onto a verandah.

Both rooms lead off an attractive square hallway with its own fireplace. There’s also a study, a playroom and a big kitchen warmed by an Aga. There are lots of original features, including elaborate cornice work and leaded windows.

IN FOXROCK, Lisney is asking €995,000 for a four-bedroom semi-detached house on Torquay Road that has been given an expensive makeover.

ALSO IN Foxrock, Sherry FitzGerald is asking €1.95 million for Glenstal, a large detached house on just over half an acre on Westminster Road. The five-bedroom house which was offered for sale a couple of years ago at €4 million, dates from 1903. It has five bedrooms, attractive reception rooms and a separate mews house.
