Fingal County Council has received additional information on plans to redevelop the library site at Main Street, Howth, Co Dublin.

Brothers Brendan and Kevin Walsh are seeking permission to demolish the former library on the site which adjoins the Baily Court Hotel and includes adjoining lands including a house situated at number 60 Main Street.

The redevelopment also envisaged the demolition of the hotel function room to the rear and the demolition of the two-storey house at 60 Main Street.

This will make way for the construction of three blocks which will consist of a library, an extension to the hotel lobby to provide a hotel shop, and storage area at ground floor and a further three floors of offices overhead.
