Garrett Kelleher's company, Shelbourne Developments, is spreading its wings, having lodged a planning application for a 101-bedroom hotel at The Parade, Kings Island, in Limerick. The hotel will include a leisure centre and conference facilities. In Dublin, Shelbourne and its partner, Morrison Developments, have begun site works on the proposed Moore Street Mall, which will include 90,000 sq ft of retail and a 197-bedroom hotel. The scheme is due for completion in the spring of 2002. Shelbourne recently received planning permission for 428 residential units for students close to Limerick Institute of Technology. It is also involved in the development of a holiday home complex in the south of France.
