Agents Lambert Smith Hampton has achieved £850,000 sterling for a 2.5-acre site on what was the former Royal Irish Rangers base at Chapel Street, Cookstown, Co Tyrone. The North's construction and planning register, Commercial Information Company (CIC) reports that the site has been bought by local builders, McKernan Construction, owned by Mr Joe McKernan.

The site has been derelict for a number of years after being abandoned following the security reduction.
