BIRTH Developments has applied to Dublin Corporation for planning permission to build 325 houses beside Our Lady of Mercy secondary school at Beaumont Road in Dublin. The development will include a number of four bedroom detached and semi detached homes, two and three bed room houses as well as apartments and duplex units.
The scheme will be built on a 16 hectare site, if granted. Firth Developments has an address at Carysfort Cottages, Blackrock, Co Dublin.
Meanwhile, Dublin Corporation has deferred until September an application to build a 165 bedroom hotel at Cuffe Sfreet and Montague Lane, near St Stephen's Green.
The application, by Sherborough Securities, included a six storey development over ground floor, reception, bar and dining room with car parking in the basement.
Dublin Corporation has also received an application from Parliament Property which has applied for a change of use of an existing retail unit at 79 Aungier Street into a hostel to accommodate 59 people.
