One of the North's important baronial mansions, Craigdun Castle at Cullybackey, Co Antrim has been brought to the market with an asking price of around £650,000 sterling. Just half an hour's drive from Belfast, Craigdun is set in 10 acres and is currently used as a residence. Joint agents DTZ McCombe Pierce and Eric Cairns Partnership point out that it would suit use as either a residence or nursing home. It has 11 main bedrooms and a large variety of servants' quarters and outhouses. Craigdun was built in the Scottish high-house style by Edmund McNeill, known as "Long Eddie" in 1867. The house is the work of two of the North's leading Victorian architects, WH Lynn and Charles Lanyon. It has a walled kitchen garden of an acre.
