CHAIN REACTION If you have bits of jewellery with sentimental associations that just lie around unworn in a box, why not gather them up and give them to jewellery designer Jennifer Kinnear of Kink Bijoux on Crow Street in Temple Bar? She will assemble all the pieces on a chain specially designed for the purpose, adding a few stones, and giving them a new life as a unique personal heirloom. Depending on the number of trinkets, the necklace can be made long or short, in silver or gold. Prices start at €50. For further information, contact her at Unit 6, Crow Street, Dublin 2 (01-6753029).

PERFECT LBD We liked this little black dress from River Island, which has just the right amount of frivolity and fun about it. It's in black lace and costs €100.50. The necklace is €16.50 and the shoes €75.50.
