A SET of eight William IV rosewood dining chairs with curved backs fetched £2,800 at auctioneer John Dunphy's sale in Sixmilebridge, Co Clare. A Chippendale-style mahogany dining table went for £2,400.
Other prices included: £1,600 for a boudoir grand piano in ebonised case by Schiedmayer; £1,500 for a Chippendale-style six-piece bedroom suite; £1,400 for a Chippendale-style mahogany sideboard; and £1,200 for a Regency mahogany secretaire bookcase.
