Excerpts from Alfred Hitchcock thrillers will be shown with live musical accompaniment when the RTÉ Concert Orchestra, conducted by Neil Thomson, takes to the stage of the National Concert Hall in Dublin for matinee and evening shows on June 20th.
They will perform four suites from Bernard Herrmann's splendid score for North by Northwest, including the opening titles sequence designed by Saul Bass and the gripping Mount Rushmore scenes.
The programme also includes selections from Dmitri Tiomkin's scores for Strangers on a Trainand Dial M for Murderand Lyn Murray's music for To Catch a Thief. www.nch.ie
