The Tall Tales Company, now with a year and four good productions behind them, open their new year's account with another one. The Positive Hour, by April de Angelis, is an enjoyable if somewhat uneven blend of comedy and drama, persuasively presented.Miranda, a social worker with her own hang-ups, runs a group support class for three disturbed women. Paula, a single mother, wants her daughter back from care; Emma is into mid-life crisis and kinky sex; Nicola has to cope with study and a wacky dad. The two men in their lives only add to the mess. The first half is funny and pointed; the second slides into farce overlapped with heavy drama. It is all kept in credible balance by the excellent performances of Deirdre Kinahan, Alice Barry, Maureen Collen der, Roisin Gribbin, Robert Shaw and John Lovett. As directed by Louise Drumm, they plaster over script cracks with their own conviction.Runs until Saturday, February 14th. To book phone 01- 6797760
