THE next National Book Fair takes place this Monday, as usual in the Masonic Hall, Molesworth Street, Dublin, starting at 10 a.m. A rare catechism of the doctrines of the Irish church, written by the Rev P. Francisco Molloy and published in Rome in 1676, will be one of the more interesting items for sale from De Burca Rare Books.
A signed copy of W.B. Yeats's Three Things, published in London in 1929 and illustrated by Gilbert Spencer, and the Rev P.L. O'Toole's 1890 history of the O'Toole and O'Byrne clans will also be on offer. In addition to books, the fair includes prints, maps, postcards and other ephemera.
