QUITE remarkable really - while most comics delve into the outer limits of their imagination to come up with suitably fantastic subject matter, Fermanagh comic Owen O'Neill contents himself (and more than contents his audience) with telling true stories from his past and present.
Delivered in a strong, punchy manner, his tales - ranging from alcoholic breakdown, Ulster Loyalism and the inadvisability of carrying a pretend gun around with you while in London, have far more penetration and comic power than any amount of walking into pubs with pigs under arms.
A brilliant performance. And by the way, thanks for the Bill Hicks poem.
