The abiding interest in work by Roderic O'Conor was attested recently during the Irish art sales in London. There should, therefore, be a considerable audience for two exhibitions of work by this painter which are about to take place. The first, organised by dealer Dominic Milmo-Penny, runs from next Tuesday until the following Friday at 55 Ailesbury Road in Dublin. It offers a chance to see 15 paintings by O'Conor, including that illustrated here, A Breton Fisherman. For further information, contact Milmo-Penny Fine Art at 01 2693486. Meanwhile, from June 13th until late August, the National Gallery of Ireland is due to host a show of Roderic O'Conor's prints. The exhibition includes a large number of pictures on loan from the Indianapolis Museum of Art.
