Crawdaddy, Dublin Tonight 11pm 8
Cork producer Toby Kaar is the name at the top of the bill, but he's not the only star attraction on Harcourt Street tonight. Many will remember Graham Van Pelt and Miracle Fortress from 2007's gorgeous Five Rosesalbum. It's taken a while for the follow-up (Van Pelt was working with his other band, Think About Life), but Was I the Wave?shows Miracle Fortress is still a going concern.
The other name on the bill is Moths, aka Newbridge kid Jack Colleran, whose fresh, exciting, mesmerising take on electronica has won him plaudits and a record deal with SQE, which he signed the same day he received his Leaving Cert results.
Kaar’s buzzy live show was one of the highlights of this year’s Hard Working Class Heroes festival. Currently studying in Bath, the Corkman is a bright prospect for 2012 and beyond.
