The width and depth of Dutch producer Martiyn Deykers's sound can be gauged by what you'll hear on his two albums. On his fantastic debut, Great Lengths, Deykers was one of the first to join the dots with great verve between dubstep's brave new world and its techno and house precedents. Afterwards, he hooked up with Flying Lotus and the Brainfeeder crew, which might go some way to explaining the massive leap taken on last year's Ghost People. This time out, Deykers was on a much more experimental buzz, taking an excursion into future funk and neglecting to pack a safety harness. Full of spacey, dark rhythms, dubby loops and reconditioned, quirky bleeps, Love and Machinesand Viperwere tunes to be reckoned with.
Support tonight from the Surge and Pogo crews.
