AILBHE MALONEon the public outcry over N-Dubz Watch
TRACK OF THE WEEK: Doubtby Amanda Mair. This is the debut single from Mair, a 16-year-old from Stockholm, and it's a cracker. With a touch of Cyndi Lauper and a hint of Robyn, it's a lush spiky pop song about love on the run, or something like that. It also has one of the better hooks of this year, as she calls out: "will love destroy me/ will love destroy this weeping heart of mine". In a perfect world, she'd be performing this with a killer dance routine on the first X Factor Liveshow.
N-DUBZ WATCH: We tried to move them on, but due to an "overwhelming" response last week, N-Dubz Watch is STAYING. This week, Dappy shared his secrets for success in an interview with the Guardian: "When N-Dubz first started we thought, how do we stand out among all these other UK artists and get famous very quickly? So what did I go and do? Put on a hat with strings." One Direction, take notes.
It seemsit's baby season, as Una Saturdays is pregnant! Not content with trying to copy Beyoncé's dance moves, she's now gotten herself up the Damian. The father is her long-time boyfriend, rugby player Ben Foden. The rest of the Sats crew are delighted, Mollie tweeted "the first of many Sats babies! So so excited for u both. Bring on the babysitting!" Rochelle was equally chuffed, tweeting: "Wow that was the hardest secret I've ever had to keep so excited and happy for @unahealy to have a baby! I'm gonna be an aunty woo." Well done Una and Ben.
Our Christmasstockings overfloweth, as Justin Bieber has announced he's making a Christmas album. Biebz broke the news on Twitter: "2day i woke up and realized that the group that made me want to sing @BoyzIIMen are now on the christmas album singing with me." Justin's Christmas album won't be any old schlock though, released in November it'll be heavy on original material, so expect to see tracks like Baby (Jesus)and One Time (In Bethlehem).
