TRACK OF THE WEEK:Party in the USA (Remix) by Rye Rye. So, this is Rye Rye (below). She's only 19 and was M.I.A.'s first signing to N.E.E.T Recordings (also home to Sleigh Bells and the Slumdog Millionaire soundtrack, fact fans). She's pretty bloody good, and although the tail end of this track gets a bit panicky (sadface), it's fun, fresh and sunshiney – much like its performer. It's taken from her pre-album mixtape Ryeot Powrr, which also includes Ke$ha and Far East Movement remixes, and is free to download from your local neighbourhood internet provider.

*Poor old Rihanna. Not only has her single SM been heavily edited for daytime radio, she's now come under fire for the track's fetish-themed video as well. Famed Vogue photographer David LaChapelle is suing Ri-Ri for copying "composition, total concept, feel, tone, mood, theme, colours, props, settings, decors, wardrobe and lighting of his work", says Entertainment Weekly.

*Jessie J is fast becoming our favourite pop star. Not only does she have a killer fringe, she's also pledged to load up on cakes. As she told the Daily Star: "I need to eat more. Most people say they need to eat less. I'm naturally very skinny but now I'm working so much the weight is dropping off", adding: "I need to stock up on carbs because a bum sells more records." If you want a training partner, we're more than happy to help.
