June japery:Echo and the Bunnymen, Patti Smith, Mick Flannery, Jape and Katell Keineg will play Cork X Southwest at Liss Ard Estate on June 4th and 5th.

Second bass:

Interpol bassist Dave Pajo has left the band. Pajo stepped in when Carlos Dengler departed last year, but has amicably departed to “focus on family”.

Battles are to release Gloss Drop, their first album since the departure of Tyondai Braxton, in June.

: Killers drummer Ronnie Vanucci is following Brandon Flowers’ lead by recording a solo album. It’ll be out later this year.
