Limerick-based independent label Out On a Limb (OOaL) Records hosts a Christmas party at Dublins Twisted Pepper on December 12th. The label is expecting its busiest year yet in 2010. Playing on the night will be Rest, Windings and Hooray for Humans, and the first 20 people in the door on the night will receive a free one-of-a-kind compilation CD, featuring unique artwork by various members of bands on the OOaL roster. There’ll also be a raffle and DJ sets from Windings and Crayonsmith.

Ciarán Ryan from the label admitted that 2009 had been a quiet year, but said their plans for the future were shaping up nicely.

“In 2010, we plan a lot more regular releases from existing and possibly new OOaL acts, lots of label nights around the country, bringing some new acts to the table, and having a number of limited releases – handmade CDs, downloads, etc, etc,” he said. “The original idea was, and still is, to put out records from bands that we really dig. Its quite a simplistic agenda, I suppose, but that’s essentially it.”
