MUSIC NEWS:Louth, Mayo and Sligo are the first counties to benefit from the Music Generation fund, a music education programme founded in 2009.
U2 are the main benefactors, having donated €5 million towards the scheme. The programme aims to encourage and implement the development of music education in schools and communities through tuition. The three counties will receive €1.6 million over three years.
