Theoriginal Odd Future mixtape was released in November 2008 as a showcase for the magnificent production smarts of crew leader Tyler, the Creator. The newbie is about giving others in the collective a chance to shine, with Hodgy Beats and Domo Genesis showing good form on Lean, Mike G picking out some pop points on the magnificent Forest Green, and Frank Ocean demonstrating that every posse needs a soulman on White. Throughout, Tyler and Left Brain’s production nous and ability to mine strings, old- school beats and eerie sound effects will make you hum.
