Nadine Coyle

Ooh, get her on the cover – all hair and teeth and cleavage and vampy looks. It's a far cry from the Nadine we saw on our TV screens all those years ago, when she was bumped out of Six for lying about her age. Within a year or so, however, she was in Girls Aloud (now on hiatus). Chasing fellow GA member Cheryl Cole's success comes Insatiable. From the songs to the distribution of the album (it's on sale exclusively through branches of Tesco) it sets its stall out with a range of smoothly brushed, often superb contemporary pop. Coyle, perhaps too inevitably, has brought on board the likes of Guy Chambers, William Orbit, Desmond Child and Toby Gad, who between them have cornered the market in airwave-grabbing tunes and made-to-fit lyrics. In other words, it's nothing we haven't heard before, but as femme- pop goes, it's a belter. See nadineworldwide.com
