Fabric 59 Fabric***

There are two reasons to check out Kieran Hebden's latest Fabric mix. Obviously, the first has to do with the tracks, selected to show where Hebden's head is at. The other crucial reason is a couple of previously unreleased Four Tet tracks nestled in the middle. One of them is Pyramid, the pick of the entire set, a track cut from the same cloth as his recent There Is Love in Youalbum, with a superbly booted bassline guiding you towards the dancefloor. In terms of the rest of Hebden's mix, it's not as far out as his Late Night Talesrelease a few years ago, and instead follows the garage lines that he's obviously still exploring. There are cuts here from Caribou (in Manitona guise), Burial, Floating Points and Ricardo Villalobos, but the mix favours names that haven't been featured in a while, meaning places in the mix for Crazy Bald Heads, Persian, WK7 and other pioneers.
