Cork native Ruairi Lynch has been a prolific figure over the last while, thanks to a rash of EPs that preceded this debut album. What you’ll find on Legion are the latest iterations of Lynch’s beeps and bleeps, many of which have been augmented by vocal contributions from a sizeable and talented cast of characters.

Lynch has a canny ability to best deploy these talents, with Marge Lewis elevating the title track to another level, Eimear O’Donovan casting a dastardly shadow on Oh My Days and Benni Johnston adding eerie magic to Send Me Under.

But Lynch doesn't quite have the same range when it comes to honing and differentiating sounds and textures, with only the shimmering, jittery Dice cutting a dash in this regard. Lynch has oodles of potential as a producer and is definitely one to watch, once he fine-tunes this aspect of his work. soundcloud.com/bantummusic
