A stunning exhibition of Irish visual art inspired, or related to Joyce opens in Rome on Bloomsday

A stunning exhibition of Irish visual art inspired, or related to Joyce opens in Rome on Bloomsday. It opened in Trieste and will have its grand opening at Sala 1, Piazza di Porta San Giovanni, as part of the International Joyce Symposium at the University of Rome. It then travels to Villa Fidelia, Via Flaminia, Spello, in Perugia. Next year it will come to the Taylor Galleries in Dublin and then on to the Galerie Espace Paul Ricard in Paris.

The exhibition, which includes new work, has paintings or sculpture by Basil Blackshaw, Barrie Cooke, Anne Donnelly, Conor Fallon, Michael Farrell, Brian King, Louis le Brocquy and Camille Souter as well as the portrait of Joyce by Brian Bourke, pictured below.
