In search of musical instruments of note

Representatives of the London auctioneers Bonhams will be in Dublin next Thursday to offer valuations on musical instruments

Representatives of the London auctioneers Bonhams will be in Dublin next Thursday to offer valuations on musical instruments. The Knightsbridge auction house employs one of the most highly-rated experts of musical instruments, Peter Horner, who will be on hand next Thursday along with Bonham's representative in Ireland, Jamie Brownlow.

Both may be hoping to repeat the success they had at a recent valuation day in Belfast when a fine Italian violin, made by Pedrazzini (Milan 1922) was brought along and valued at £15.000-£20,000. It will be included in a sale of musical instruments at Bonhams in London on March 13th. The valuation day will be held at the Russell Court Hotel on Harcourt Street, Dublin, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
