A second World War German officer's dress dagger with scabbard and swastika will undoubtedly be the most unusual item in next Thursday's furniture and fine art auction conducted by Denis drum on his Malahide premises. Mr Drum expects the dagger to sell for £700-£2,000.
A Napoleon III bedroom suite has an estimate of £1,200-£1,500. Three antique chimneypieces, two in white veined marble and one in sand coloured marble, share the same estimate of £600-£1,000, a set of 10 Edwardian Chippendale mahogany dining chairs are expected to make £1,800-£2,500 and a Persian carpet measuring 8ft x 10ft has an estimate of £800-£1,000.
