THE Dublin Bookbrowsers' Warehouse is having both a sale and an auction this weekend on its premises on Taney Drive, Dundrum. The sale runs both today and tomorrow, from 12 midday to 6 p.m. on each occasion, with large reductions throughout the stock of 30,000 books.
At 3.30p.m. tomorrow, there will be a book auction on the premises, with some 200 lots, among them a number of volumes illustrated by Harry Clarke, Arthur Rackham, Edmund Dulac, Kate Greenaway and Gustave Dore. First editions in this auction include The Memoirs of Sherlock Holmes by Arthur Conan Doyle and Flann O'Brien's The Hard Life, plus an original copy of Thomas Moore's melodies.
