Druid Theatre Company is to make its New York debut in February with Martin McDonagh's hit play, The Beauty Queen Of Leenane. The show will play at Atlantic Theatre. The month before, the Leenane Trilogy - The Beauty Queen, A Skull In Connemara and The Lonesome West - will play at the Sydney Festival in the Footbridge Theatre. This is far from Druid's Sydney's debut however - they have been there "five or six times" according to the artistic director, Garry Hynes, and have a "huge following" there. Druid has been inundated with invitations for the Leenane Trilogy to travel and, according to Hynes, could be touring it for five years if it was to take them all up. An American outing for

the whole trilogy is still a possibility - there is, apparently, a lot of interest, and The Beauty Queen will be a taster. Tomorrow the New York Times will dedicate a major feature to the show.
