The Beckett on Screen festival continues at Cinema West’s Mobile Cinema in Enniskillen Castle until August 27th.

Focussing on films derived from – or merely referencing – the work of Samuel Beckett, the jamboree finds time to screen the tartly titled Film, starring Buster Keaton; a version of Waiting for Godot by the San Quentin Players and a selection of productions made for the BBC. Less nuanced sensibilities are served with two outings for (ahem) Donald Clarke’s sweary, trivial short Pitch ’n’ Putt with Beckett ’n’ Joyce. The event is allied to Happy Days: The Enniskillen International Beckett Festival. Info on the film strand is available at cinemanorthwest.com.
