Relax. It seems as if Miss Piggy and Kermit the Frog are, after all, to attend the Oscars ceremony. Miss Piggy had suggested that, despite The Muppetsbeing nominated for best song, she was planning to boycott the show in protest at its refusal to nominate a single non-human in any acting category.
"It's wonderful to be nominated in the best song category, even if it wasn't a song I sang," she said. "As for going to the Oscars, it's hard to feel right about going to an event like that where you're not really welcome. For some reason, the Academy has refused to recognise pigs as actors."
It seems that Miss Piggy relented when the organisers revealed that the couple were being asked to present a prize.
By the way, are we going to keep pretending that the Muppets really exist? Yes, we are. So shut up.
