In the court report headed "Man claims he was put under pressure of murder plea" in yesterday's editions, it was incorrectly stated that the barrister representing Mr Paul Lynch was Mr Michael Hanna SC. In fact, Mr Nicholas R.H. Hanna QC, with Mr T. Desmond Murphy, both of the Bar of Northern Ireland, instructed by solicitors Hasson & Company, Derry, are acting for Mr Lynch.

In the court report headed "Man walks free as judge orders not guilty verdict" in yesterday's editions, the name of the trial judge was incorrectly given as Mr Justice Peter Kelly. It should have read Mr Justice Patrick Smith.

In the editions of June 22nd, an advertisement from the Arts Council and Eastern Health Board, which sought proposals from artists for a series of pilot arts projects, included an incorrect telephone number. It should have read 465 0112.

Where errors occur it is the policy of The Irish Times to correct or clarify as soon as practicable.
