Contents of 10 Limerick houses to go on market

The contents of no less than 10 houses in Limerick city - along with a number of properties - have provided items for Tuesday's antique, fine art and collectibles sale being held by auctioneer John Dunphy. Lots on offer at his premises in Sixmilebridge, Co Clare, include a Sheraton revival display cabinet (£3,500-£4,500) and a Victorian oval-end dining table, carrying the Strahan stamp (£4,000-£5,000). In addition, there is a set of 12 Louis XVI-style giltwood armchairs (£2,000-£3,000), an Edwardian Chippendale-style two-door bookcase (£1,700-£2,000) and a set of six Irish Sheraton-style dining chairs (£1,400-£1,800). The auction starts at 10.30 a.m.
