Tomorrow night will be a very special one in Derry, even if there is no white smoke yet from the talks - after 12 years of relative homelessness, the Nerve Centre will be celebrating going to the walls and taking up residence in its fabulous new venue on Magazine Street. The Centre is not just a music venue. It also houses a cinema, rehearsal studios, an editing suite for film and sound and a recording studio.
This is to be celebrated in a wonderful way, by hosting the first concert by The Undertones in their home town for 17 years. No, Fergal Sharkey can't be inveigled into doing it for love nor money, so there is a new singer, Paul McCloone, otherwise known as a presenter on Today FM, and there are bound to be teenage kicks aplenty when they go on stage around 10.30 p.m.
