Punters arriving for last Friday night's screening of Antichristat Dublin's Cineworld may have jumped to the conclusion that, bowing to tirades from illiberal blowhards, the authorities had decided to Ban This Sick Filth after all.

As it happens, the reason for the film’s cancellation was that the prints had arrived without the opening image of the Classifier’s certificate.

On a related issue, hats off to the Daily Mail's film critic, Chris Tookey – who, though wildly right-wing, is always professional – for including a dig in his Antichristreview against pontificators who, without having seen the film, felt able to demand a ban. The most prominent of these was, of course, Christopher Hart from, yes, the Daily Mail.
